Fun, Romantic Shaw Neighborhood Engagement – Maria & Ryan

Here’s a couple with just a really awesome dynamic. Maria and Ryan are both just fun and open, with a nice dose of silly. A perfect pair for each other, and perfect to weather any storm like they have to do now. When we shot their fun, romantic Shaw neighborhood engagement session last summer (I’m getting caught up with the blog finally!), they had no idea that they’d have to change allllllll of their plans due to a global freakin’ pandemic. They’ve remained optimistic, and even with almost two months of isolation leading up to their wedding date, they are going to say their vows on their original wedding date (and then throw a rockin’ party next year)!
I am thrilled that I get to celebrate with this amazing couple TWICE now, and I know we’re going to have a blast together! Their engagement session is a great indication of how awesome their wedding will be!
Maria & Ryan’s Shaw Neighborhood Engagement Session
Maria and Ryan had fun goofing around and being silly with each other, but they were also comfortable enough to be themselves and let their guards down in front of the camera. The results of this are photos that are playful, sweet, romantic, and absolutely authentically them.
Our session started in Tower Grove Park, with a short walk on the warm, hazy summer evening. They joked with one another, danced a little bit, and cuddled up nice and close. Since booze always makes photos better, we meandered over to Sasha’s on Shaw to finish their Shaw neighborhood engagement session. Sasha’s is a favorite of both Maria and Ryan AND me, so we all felt right at home!
We grabbed some drinks and a table by a window, and I just let the happy couple do their thing! They got nice and close at their quiet, cozy table, and the photos of the two of them are pure, romantic gold!
Thanks to Sasha’s on Shaw for the great beverages and service, and cheers to Maria and Ryan on their engagement! I can’t wait to celebrate their new wedding plans with them soon!
