This is one helluva couple right here. I said it before in Maria and Ryan’s engagement session blog post, but I was so impressed with how calm and positive they stayed with all of the wedding plans they had to change due to Covid. Despite having to cut their guest list under 20 and re-adjust their entire vision and dream for their wedding, Maria and Ryan decided that what was most important to them was saying their vows to one another and getting married on their original wedding date. Even if they couldn’t have the big wedding with a ton of guests and a big ol’ party to celebrate, they were happy to still be able to have an intimate wedding ceremony and celebrate with their immediate family!
The change of plans didn’t put a damper on anyone’s spirits, and Maria and Ryan along with their VIP guests were all so excited and thrilled that this wedding was still taking place! As Maria and Ryan got ready separately, both were quiet and calm; nervous, yet relieved that their wedding was about to finally take place. Ryan was dressed first then sent to wait as his bride put on her stunning dress and finishing touches, complete with Betsey Johnson heels and her mother’s wedding veil.
Once the bride and groom were both ready, the entire group lined up to walk down the aisle. (When you have to cut your guest list to under 10, everyone is a part of the wedding!) They did live-stream the entire ceremony, too, so everyone who couldn’t attend in-person could still watch the couple say their vows!
Without any ushers to open the church doors for her, Maria and her father were left waiting in the lobby since they didn’t know when we were ready for her to walk down the aisle! Once the doors opened, she and Ryan locked eyes and he was overcome with emotion at the sight of his gorgeous bride walking toward him. Maria and Ryan had a beautiful and intimate wedding ceremony, filled with a few tears, some laughs, and one very happy couple!
Once the ceremony and family portraits were complete, it was time to get this wedding party outside to have some fun! St. Louis at the end of May can go in any direction with the weather, and we got sooooo lucky to have a gorgeous, mild day with plenty of sun! This small crew was ready to laugh and celebrate, and we had a great time walking around and being goofy together. We grabbed a few more shots of just Maria and Ryan together, and these two sure now how to nail that dreamy, romantic, totally in love look!
