October 22nd is National Color Day, and I think that’s something to celebrate! I love black & white photographs, and I actually first learned how to shoot using black & white film, which always has a place in my heart. However, my style of shooting truly shines with color. Bright, colorful, wedding photography is my jam, and I’m talking ALL the color. Colors have such a special way of evoking emotions and setting the tone of an image. There are so many natural, beautiful colors in the world, and I think it’s wonderful to take a day to appreciate them!
Luckily, I’m not alone in my love for bold pops of color! When the gals at Altar’d Events asked, I was thrilled to team up with them and other local wedding pigment pros to put together this vibrant elopement shoot! Most trendy wedding colors are either pale pastels, darker shades, or neutrals; but there is nothing to fear in adding bright, vibrant tones to your wedding palette! The sky is the limit when it comes to selecting colorful accessories, decor, and especially flowers to add some extra pizzazz to your celebration!
These pieces and colors certainly draw the eye, but they can do so without distracting from the focus of your wedding: you! Whether you’re planning an elopement, an intimate soirée or a full-on party, you can absolutely use color to style your day and make a statement!
