The day before Lauren & Matt’s wedding at Wild Carrot, St. Louis received a few inches of snow, but before they were even married the next evening it was gone! Lucky for them, that meant photos outside without completely freezing our butts off! Lauren and Matt worked with Altar’d Events for a perfectly styled wedding that fit them wonderfully, complete with the absolute best cake topper I’ve ever seen (made by Lauren)!
The air was calm for both bride and groom while getting ready. Lauren and her bridesmaids sipped mimosas while getting hair & make-up done, and Matt and his groomsmen drank beers and joked around while hanging out. Once Lauren was in her gorgeous long-sleeved, lace gown, she had an incredibly sweet first look with her father before making her way downstairs for her first look with Matt in their hotel’s lobby.
Despite some residual snow from the day prior, Lauren & Matt took photos together and with their wedding party outdoors at The Muny, which had a gorgeous wintery glow that made this good-looking group really pop!
Wild Carrot was nice and cozy for Lauren & Matt’s wedding ceremony, and the brick wall that served as a backdrop for their ceremony was a great accent with their burgundy, navy, and gold wedding colors. Lauren & her father made a grand entrance, walking downstairs to meet her groom from the second level at Wild Carrot. Their ceremony was short & sweet, which gave us time for a few more portraits indoors and outdoors at Wild Carrot during cocktail hour.
Wild Carrot is an absolutely stunning venue, and with the extra decor touches added by their planner, Lauren & Matt’s reception was GORGEOUS. With candlelight, multiple lounge areas set up for guests, and seating at long, farm tables for dinner, the room was perfectly cozy to enjoy a tasty dinner and cake before hopping on the dance floor! But back to this cake…delicious, of course (it’s cake), but topped with BRIDE AND GROOM DINOSAURS WEARING A VEIL AND A BOWTIE! Lauren not only made this most epic cake topper, but also made monogrammed cookies as favors for their guests! How cool?!
Once the sun had set, the happy couple popped back outside for some night photos in front of Wild Carrot! Now enough of me talking, here’s some photos!
