I’m a firm believer in eating dessert before dinner. And also eating ice cream any time (and all the time) in the summer. Therefore, I highly recommend adding an ice cream date to your summer engagement session! Carolyn and Roy approved of this idea, so we planned their Lafayette Park engagement session to begin with some delicious ice cream from Clementine’s Creamery near the park!
These two lovebirds enjoyed their ice cream together outside (and even shared with each other!) before grabbing some cute photos in Clementine’s adorable courtyard patio and taking a little walk down the sun-filled alley. They were so freakin’ cute walking and dancing together, and I just love seeing how sweet these two are together!
After a quick wardrobe change, we headed over to Lafayette Park for some more photo fun as the sun set. In typical St. Louis summer fashion, it was hot and humid, but Carolyn and Roy looked amazing and were absolute troopers as I made them snuggle up nice and close together in the heat. Somehow moving down by the pond and out of the sun was even hotter and more humid, but we got to enjoy some fun pond visitors when the ducks and a swan joined us. The swan did not want to cooperate for some photos, but we managed to get a few great photos with all the birds before they swam away!
These two are going to have an amazing wedding this fall, and I am so excited to celebrate with them and document their magical day (in cool, autumn weather, we hope)! Be sure to check out all of the photos from their session below, we shot a few bonus images in my studio just for fun!
Scotchy, Scotch, Scotch. Bonus images below! Cheers!
Beautiful photos. They capture the feelings that this couple have for each other. I think that the photos are very intimate and charming.
