Brunch & Bowling Wedding – Jenifer & Patrick

Let’s go bowling!

Planning a wedding is hard work, you know; there are a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-you’s. Sometimes you just have to say, “F*ck it dude, let’s go bowling.” Jenifer and Patrick clearly make a great couple, and upon meeting them and hearing their wedding plans, I knew their wedding day was going to be a blast (it did not disappoint)! Taking a tip from The Big Lebowski, the couple opted for bowling over dancing and held their fun-filled reception at Saratoga Lanes after a brunch ceremony at SqWires for their St. Louis brunch & bowling wedding.

Their story–August 18, 2018

The weather was agreeable for a mid-August Missouri wedding, so after getting ready, Jen and Pat decided to have their first look in Lafayette Park. Following some portraits in the park, an entourage of family and friends cheered them on as they made their way out of the park and over to SqWires to relax and mingle before the ceremony. Rarely do I see a couple so relaxed before saying their vows. Instead of hiding from their guests, Jenifer and Patrick greeted them as they entered, saying hi to everyone before lighting their unity candle and taking their places for the ceremony to begin.

After a short and sweet ceremony (and a couple of first kisses!), brunch was served. And it was AMAZING. Seriously, you can never go wrong with breakfast food. Once family members gave their very lovely toasts to the couple, the party headed to Saratoga Lanes in Maplewood, where the couple had a quick wardrobe change. Time for the bowling shoes, plus friends of the couple made bowling shirts for the group, which actually looked quite great with Jen’s wedding skirt! Patrick also had something extra special to wear: The Dude’s sweater from The Big Lebowski! It really tied the room together.

There is so much more that I could say about this amazing wedding (because I’m not into the whole brevity thing), but I think it’s time for photos of this unique, indie wedding already! Enjoy!
