Colorful Wild Carrot Wedding – Katie & Luke

A COLORFUL WILD CARROT WEDDING–MAY 25, 2O19

Katie & Luke’s spring wedding was so completely them. They had a gorgeous day full of sunshine, plants, bold colors, tasty farm-to-table food, and some St. Louis Blues love thrown in. This colorful wedding at Wild Carrot was a unique, non-traditional celebration with lots of love!

GETTING READY

Katie & Luke got ready in separate rooms at The Marriott St. Louis Grand. Both rooms were incredibly calm, with both bride and groom spending the morning listening to music and joking around with their wedding party. Luke wore a dark gray suit and a floral tie for a little pop of color. His socks were a gift from his bride and featured a picture of their dog, Peaches. Katie has impeccable style, and her wedding day attire was perfectly coordinated, from the green in her hair to the green lining of her dress to the flowers and greenery in her hair. Paired with her bright, colorful bouquet of local flowers and sparkly, gold shoes, she was a stunning sight on a bright, beautiful day!

Katie & Luke planned a first look, so we popped outside of the hotel to soak up some sunshine while they had a moment together. Then the whole wedding party moved over to the Enterprise Center, where the building was decorated in preparation for the upcoming Stanley Cup Finals that the St. Louis Blues would be playing in. As St. Louis Blues fans, Katie & Luke wanted to celebrate their team, so they brought jerseys and rally towels and I brought a couple of hockey sticks to get some epic Blues photos!

THE CEREMONY–A SUNNY, ARBOREAL CEREMONY

Katie & Luke’s nuptials took place at Wild Carrot’s outdoor ceremony space surrounded by trees and rays of golden sunlight. Their ceremony was officiated by Luke’s father, and instead of a traditional candle unity ceremony, they decided to plant a tree together with soil from both parents’ homes to unite the two families together. Their unity tree was a wonderful display of their love for plants and a great, non-traditional way to make their ceremony even more unique and personal.

THE RECEPTION–PLAY “GLORIA!”

Everyone enjoyed cocktail hour and tasty cheese & charcuterie boards while we took family photos outside, and then the party really started! Their Wild Carrot wedding reception enjoyed the 2019 St. Louis Blues anthem “Gloria” not once, but TWICE, and the crowd went nuts both times! The couple cut into their adorable semi-naked cake and had mini pies for dessert before busting out the glow sticks and partying all night long!
