Lindsey & Dan’s wedding at Moulin in St. Louis was a long-awaited party. Their original wedding date in October 2020 ended up being a chilly, rainy day, so while their rescheduled June wedding was a bit hot, they got to celebrate with a gorgeous, sunny summer day that was absolutely worth the wait! Lindsey and Dan are so incredibly sweet together, but these two can also get down and party! Their Moulin wedding was an amazing day filled with lot of laughs, sweet kisses, and an absolutely rockin’ dance floor!
Lindsey and Dan chose to get ready for their day separately, with Dan at home with his favorite guys and Lindsey at Moulin with her gals. Both were excited yet calm, just thrilled that this magical day had finally arrived! After they both finalized their looks and perfected every accessory, it was time for Lindsey and Dan’s first look. They kept it simple and quiet–just the two of them in the Napoleon Room at Moulin. It was intimate, sweet, and absolutely perfect.
After Lindsey and Dan’s first look, they hopped on their party bus with their wedding party and families to make the short drive to Lafayette Park for photos together. I love how we structured their timeline, because it not only gave them plenty of time for photos and to enjoy their wedding day with their family, but it also let them enjoy more of their cocktail hour before the reception began! Their wedding party was small (but tons of fun!), so we were able to get plenty of photos of them together before sneaking off through the park for photos of just Lindsey and Dan!
Their engagement photos were so much fun, and we got to do it all again for their wedding day! Since they became pros at this at their engagement session, Lindsey and Dan felt so comfortable being themselves in front of the camera, and their personalities and relationship together really show in their images. Despite the heat, they never once complained, only reveling in the fact that they were finally about to get married!
We returned to Moulin after our Lafayette Park adventure with plenty of time for Lindsey and Dan to cool down and refresh from the heat before walking down the aisle. (I also changed clothes, because no one wants to be around a sweaty, smelly photographer.) The Jefferson Ballroom at Moulin was the ceremony site, the hanging greenery and warm, glowing lights gave the space an intimate and cozy feeling. Even though they had a first look and photos before the ceremony, Dan was still full of excitement and emotion seeing Lindsey walk toward him with her parents to begin their wedding ceremony. Their ceremony was officiated by a close friend, and it was so perfectly personal, clever, and thoughtful. It was 100% Lindsey and Dan. Complete with Lord of the Rings and Princess Bride references.
Vows were spoken, though Lindsey had to ask for them to be repeated back to her a second time before she could get through hers, rings were exchanged, and Lindsey and Dan finally got that magical first kiss moment after being declared husband and wife!
Now it’s time to party! With the hard stuff out of the way, Lindsey and Dan were excited to join their cocktail hour in the Centennial Ballroom at Moulin. They had fun dancing and rocking out together as they were announced into their reception before going right into cutting their cake. The happy couple snuggled together at their sweetheart table for toasts and dinner, and after a quick break for sunset photos outside they were ready to dance the night away and party their asses off. AND THEY DID! Lindsey and Dan held each other close for their first dance together as a married couple before letting loose together with their guests on the dance floor!
I loved every minute of celebrating with these two and photographing their best day ever! Keep scrolling for more photo goodness from Lindsey and Dan’s Moulin wedding in St. Louis!
