There’s nothing like relacxing with a nice, cold drink on a patio with your love in the middle of the summer. Suzie and Eric wanted their engagement photos to reflect their everyday selves, so we chose to celebrate just a random Tuesday evening and keep things casual in their neighborhood. Despite the late August sun and heat, Suzie and Eric’s engagement photos in Tower Grove Park and at Sasha’s on Shaw were full of magic and love…and Manhattans!
We started the evening with some post-work happy hour action at Sasha’s on Shaw, with the sun perfectly beginning to set over the patio. Even though it was a fairly busy Tuesday evening at the bar, we managed to get a cozy corner for the couple to cuddle in and each sip on a favorite drink of theirs, Manhattans. I find that if you’re nervous about your engagement photos, a boozy beverage is a great way to quell those jitters and help you relax and be yourselves in front of the camera. Suzie and Eric savored their drinks, and by the end they were in full-on model mode for the rest of their photos in Tower Grove Park!
Since Suzie and Eric live nearby and spend a lot of time there, Tower Grove Park was the perfect spot to enjoy a summer sunset and finish their engagement session! They strolled around the park, hand-in-hand, taking in the beautiful evening and relishing a quiet night together outside. We caught a gorgeous glimpse of the sun setting behind the trees on the west end of the park as Suzie and Eric walked and danced surrounded by the fresh flowers and grass. The soon-to-be-newlyweds looked totally happy and at home together as they held each other close in the park, and I can’t wait to see the magic and love they bring to their wedding photos!
