City Cottage on Chouteau Wedding | Suzie & Eric

Suzie & Eric’s City Cottage on Chouteau Wedding

St. Louis in autumn is a vibe, and that vibe absolutely fit with Suzie and Eric’s October wedding at City Cottage on Chouteau in St. Louis! The sunny afternoon weather was perfect, and as the sun set and the evening chill set in, City Cottage was the perfect cozy space for their ceremony and reception. The intimate venue combined with bright, bold colors matched quite well with Suzie and Eric’s personalities for a wedding that was so uniquely them. Read on for the story of Suzie and Eric’s City Cottage on Chouteau wedding!

Wedding Photos in Tower Grove Park

It’s difficult to beat Tower Grove Park in the fall when all of the leaves have changed color and cover the ground, so after a first look and group photos at Suzie and Eric’s apartment we traveled to the park. Suzie’s custom-made ivory dress and Eric’s classic black tux contrasted perfectly against the yellow, orange, and red fallen leaves. The real showstopper of the day (aside from the gorgeous, happy couple, of course!) was Suzie’s bouquet, designed by Wild Ginger Weddings!

Private Vows and Ceremony at City Cottage on Chouteau

Before the ceremony at City Cottage on Chouteau, Suzie and Eric wanted to exchange the vows they wrote in private. With the tree-lined drive through the park in the background, they said their vows at a gate on the east entrance of Tower Grove Park. It was a beautifully intimate moment that also gave them some time alone together in the middle of a busy day. There were plenty of sweet, quiet points in the day, but Suzie and Eric were definitely ready to party, too. They had the lights and music going hard on their party bus for the short trip to City Cottage for their ceremony.

City Cottage on Chouteau has a beautiful, covered ceremony space outdoors, and that is where Suzie and Eric held their ceremony as the sun set in the west. The tent was filled with a gorgeous, warm glow as Suzie and her dad walked down the aisle to where Eric awaited his bride. Suzie’s brother officiated their very personal and special ceremony to finally make it official. After exchanging rings, vows, and a first kiss, it was time for the real party to begin!

Reception at City Cottage on Chouteau

The party started right away with a lively cocktail hour before Suzie and Eric made their grand entrance as husband and wife. Dinner featured a cocktail buffet with multiple stations and a variety of food options. After dinner and heartfelt toasts by family members, Suzie and Eric shared a fun and energetic first dance together as well as dances with their parents. With the outdoor fire pit glowing and the dance floor full, the rest of the evening was one hot party!

As always, we finished the evening with my “parting shot”, embracing the glow of the string lights outdoors for some romantic yet fun final photos of the bride and groom! Suzie and Eric’s City Cottage on Chouteau wedding was definitely a night to remember, and I’m thrilled I was a part of their big day!
